This EYFS Teaching Assistant role offers a full-time, long-term opportunity within a supportive early years setting from September 2026. The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support children’s learning, development, and well-being during a vital stage of their education. This role is ideal for a caring and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with young children and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.Duties as EYFS Teaching Assistant:

• Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Work with individuals and small groups to support early communication, language, and play-based learning
• Assist with structured and child-led activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
• Support daily routines, transitions, and personal care where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers and early years staff
• Observe and share information about children’s progress with the teaching team
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
• Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working in an EYFS or early years setting
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and committed to a full-time, long-term role
