- Support pupils across Key Stage 1 in lessons and daily classroom activities
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and numeracy activities
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support classroom routines, transitions, and organisation
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
- Observe and share information on pupil progress with teaching staff
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
- Experience working with children in Key Stage 1 or early years settings
- Understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and child development
- Patient, nurturing, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
