Early Years Teacher (ECT) – Full-time, long-term supply starting September 2026
These long-term supply opportunities are ideal for Early Career Teachers who are looking to gain valuable experience and build confidence within early years settings. You will be working across schools in King’s Lynn and the surrounding areas, delivering high-quality EYFS teaching while developing your classroom practice in a supportive and consistent long-term role.Duties as Early Years Teacher (ECT):

• Deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
• Plan, prepare, and adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of all children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Use effective behaviour management strategies appropriate to early years
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS expectations
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, early years staff, and mentors
• Communicate effectively with parents and contribute positively to wider school life

Ideal Early Years Teacher (ECT):

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to qualify as an ECT by September 2026
• Early Career Teacher seeking long-term supply experience in EYFS
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• Confident, reflective, and enthusiastic about early years teaching
• Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Adaptable across different school environments
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
