- Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes curiosity and independence
- Support planned activities that encourage communication, social skills, and early learning
- Work with individuals and small groups to support learning through play
- Observe and support children’s progress and development throughout the day
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Follow safeguarding procedures and setting policies at all times
- Support daily routines including play, mealtimes, and transitions
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
- Represent Step Teachers professionally while working as an Early Years Practitioner
- Relevant early years qualification or previous experience working in an early years setting
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Confidence supporting children of different ages and developmental stages
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and reliability when working on supply
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A genuine passion for early years education and development
- A positive and professional approach as an Early Years Practitioner
