Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Purpose of the Role
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to customers both remotely and on-site across an international region. The role involves installation, maintenance, repair, training, and ongoing support of a range of specialised testing and inspection equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and support technical equipment, ensuring high service standards and customer satisfaction
- Provide technical support via hotline, remote access, and on-site visits
- Carry out commissioning and installation activities, including customer training
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Liaise with internal engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and report product feedback
- Develop and contribute to technical documentation, including manuals and product guides
- Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, building strong working relationships
- Work independently while collaborating with wider service and technical teams
- Travel extensively across the assigned region to support customer requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Strong technical background (engineering or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electronics
- Experience with testing, inspection, or similar technical equipment (desirable)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Hands-on approach with confidence using tools and working in practical environments
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or similar)
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%)
- Valid passport and driving licence
