EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full time, long-term temporary and ongoing June 2026The inspection report highlights a welcoming and nurturing early years environment where children feel safe, happy, and well supported. Teaching and support staff provide clear routines and positive relationships that help children develop confidence and independence. This EYFS Teaching Assistant role offers a full time, long-term temporary and ongoing opportunity from June  2026 within a supportive early years setting. The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support children’s learning, development, and care during a crucial stage of their education. This role is ideal for a caring and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting young children and contributing to a calm, inclusive classroom environment.Duties as EYFS Teaching Assistant:
  • Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • Work with individual children and small groups to support early communication, language, and play-based learning
  • Assist with structured and child-led activities
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
  • Support daily routines, transitions, and personal care where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and early years staff
  • Observe and share information about children’s progress with the teaching team
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working in an EYFS or early years setting
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and committed to a part-time, long-term role
  • Flexible and proactive attitude to supporting learning
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
