This EYFS Teaching Assistant role offers a full time, long-term temporary and ongoing opportunity from June 2026 within a supportive early years setting. The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support children’s learning, development, and care during a crucial stage of their education. This role is ideal for a caring and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting young children and contributing to a calm, inclusive classroom environment.Duties as EYFS Teaching Assistant:

- Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Work with individual children and small groups to support early communication, language, and play-based learning
- Assist with structured and child-led activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Support daily routines, transitions, and personal care where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers and early years staff
- Observe and share information about children’s progress with the teaching team
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
- Experience working in an EYFS or early years setting
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and committed to a part-time, long-term role
- Flexible and proactive attitude to supporting learning
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
