Location Requirement
You must live within approximately 30 minutes of North London. Applications from candidates located significantly further away are unlikely to be considered.

The Opportunity
This is a permanent position with a well established North London building firm specialising in high end residential refurbishments and new build projects. This is an employed, permanent role on the books (PAYE) with paid holiday. It is not day rate or subcontract work, so no chasing invoices and no gaps between jobs.

Pay starts at £200 per day (£52,000) and increases as you prove yourself over your first couple of months on the team.

You will be joining a growing, close knit team with a consistent pipeline of work across some of London's most desirable areas, with the opportunity to build a long term career with a respected company.

All new starters begin with a two week paid trial period, after which the position becomes permanent.

The Role

• First fix carpentry including structural framing, joists and stud walls
• Second fix carpentry including doors, skirting, architraves and finishing joinery
• High end residential refurbishments and new build projects
• Reading drawings and working to a high standard
• Working closely with a professional on site team
• Maintaining excellent levels of workmanship and attention to detail

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in both first and second fix carpentry
• Ability to work independently and produce high quality work
• Own set of tools
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Reliable, professional and hard working approach
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Based within a reasonable commuting distance of North London
• Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
• Looking for a long term permanent opportunity rather than short term contract work

£52,000 to start, rising to around £57,000 as you prove your worth
