Carpenter / Joiner – First & Second Fix – North London Daily Rate: £200/day (approx. £160/day after tax)

Experienced carpenter or joiner who can carry out both first and second fix work, looking for consistent, high-end work in North London without the hassle of chasing jobs? Join a well-established team delivering projects across Muswell Hill, Hampstead and Highgate.

Location: North London (Muswell Hill, Hampstead, Highgate) Pay: £200/day (approx. £160 after tax) Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday–Friday Location requirement: You must be within 30 minutes of North London. Maximum 1 hour. Please do not apply if you are further away.

The Opportunity This is a permanent role with a well-established North London building firm, working on high-end residential refurbishments and builds across Muswell Hill, Hampstead and Highgate. You will be joining a growing, close-knit team with a consistent pipeline of work — no gaps, no chasing jobs. All new starters begin with a two-week paid trial, after which the role is permanent.

The Role

• Both first and second fix carpentry — you must be comfortable with both
• First fix: structural framing, joists, stud walls
• Second fix: doors, skirting, architraves, finishing joinery
• High-end residential refurbishments and builds
• Working as part of a close-knit on-site team

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in both first and second fix — this is essential, not optional
• Your own set of tools — candidates must supply their own tools
• Able to work at pace without compromising on quality
• Able to read drawings and work to a high standard
• Reliable, professional, and a strong team player
• Based within 30 minutes of North London (essential)
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
• Committed to a permanent position — this is not a short-term or contract role

Pay £200/day for carpenters experienced and confident in both first and second fix, working independently to a high standard.
