Production Manager

Orion are working with a market leader that are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of their electrical panel manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of production related to Power control panels. Your leadership will ensure that production targets are met on time, quality standards are maintained, and safety regulations are strictly followed. You will work closely with teams across design, procurement, assembly, testing, and quality control to streamline workflows and implement innovative manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities of the Production Manager
- Lead and oversee daily control panel assembly, wiring, and testing activities.
- Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, troubleshooting issues and meeting deadlines.
- Implement and manage automated production monitoring and reporting tools.
- Re-allocate workloads and develop data analytics to improve scheduling.
- Create digital dashboards for KPI tracking and performance analysis.
- Oversee stock control to ensure availability of materials.
- Collaborate with various departments to meet project requirements and schedules.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects.
- Support the integration of smart manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
Requirements of the Production Manager:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities across all levels.
- Hands-on experience with electrical products.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and deliver results.
- Experience with production planning tools.
- Prior experience in control panel manufacturing or related industry.
- Familiarity with automated manufacturing applications and digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
