A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Dartford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their successful English department from September 2026. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about inspiring a love of language and literature while helping students achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students while supporting them to make excellent progress.
The RoleAs a Teacher of English, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students through the study of English Language and English Literature.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively.
- Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a love of learning.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student achievement and wellbeing.
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- High expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
