A successful and ambitious secondary school in Gravesend is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school. Applications are welcomed from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment.
The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity about the world, environmental issues, and the relationship between people and places.The RoleAs a Teacher of Geography, you will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of physical and human geography.
- Plan and deliver lessons that promote enquiry, critical thinking, and independent learning.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
- Differentiate learning to support students of all abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Support fieldwork opportunities, enrichment activities, and the wider life of the school.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to inspire and engage students from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
- High expectations of student achievement and progress.
