Location: On-site - Birmingham 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business, supporting procurement activities within a dynamic supply chain environment. The position will focus on sourcing subcontract machining services, ensuring reliable supply, competitive pricing, and consistent supplier performance within a engineering setting.

Key Responsibilities for this Buyer role:

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for machined components and subcontract services
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production requirements
• Source and engage with suppliers, obtaining quotations and negotiating pricing and lead times
• Monitor supplier performance in relation to quality, cost and delivery
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules
• Expedite orders and resolve any supply or delivery issues
• Maintain accurate procurement records and system updates

Requirements for this Buyer role:

• Previous experience working as a Buyer within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment
• Strong understanding of subcontract machining procurement
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Must be a British citizen
