I'm currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join an established communications business that offers a comprehensive range of print, direct mail, postage and hybrid mail solutions.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys opening new doors, building long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities to help organisations improve the way they communicate with their customers.

 

The business has built a strong reputation for delivering end-to-end communication supporting clients from concept and creative through to print production, data management, mailing, fulfilment and distribution.

 

They're now looking for someone who can help drive the next phase of growth.

 

The Role

This is a true Business Development position focused on winning new accounts, growing existing relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to your customers.

 

You'll work closely with both public and private sector organisations, helping them improve the way they communicate with their customers through a range of print and communication solutions.

The role combines strategic sales, account development and operational oversight, making it ideal for someone who enjoys managing the full customer journey rather than simply handing projects over once they're won.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Account Management and New Business Development
  • Selling Direct Mail, Postage and Hybrid Mail Solutions
  • Developing opportunities across Commercial Print services
  • Managing and developing relationships within both Public and Private Sector organisations
  • Overseeing operational delivery and project implementation
  • Promoting Automated Mail Solutions to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Driving customer retention, account growth and long-term revenue generation
  • Taking a technical and consultative approach to sales, understanding customer challenges and creating tailored solutions

 

What They're Looking For:

  • Proven Business Development experience within the print industry
  • Experience selling Direct Mail, Hybrid Mail, Postage, Commercial Print or wider communication solutions
  • Strong account management skills, with the ability to develop and grow existing relationships
  • Experience working with both public and private sector clients would be highly advantageous
  • A consultative sales style with excellent commercial awareness
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities
  • Comfortable engaging with customers at both strategic and operational levels
  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of opening new opportunities and markets
