About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing new products and improving existing solutions, working within a collaborative environment to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing
•              Lead and deliver new product designs within a structured project framework
•              Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings (SolidWorks)
•              Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
•              Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams
•              Ensure projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints
•              Support prototype assembly and testing
•              Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience:
•              Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 preferred) or equivalent
•              Strong experience in product design and development
•              Knowledge of simulation techniques (FEA, thermal, vibration analysis)
•              Background in precision engineering or complex mechanisms (advantageous)
•              Experience designing for challenging environments (e.g. defence) is a plus

Skills & Knowledge:
•              Strong 3D CAD (SolidWorks) capability
•              Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, castings, mouldings)
•              Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles
•              Excellent problem-solving, organisation, and communication skills
•              Driven, self-motivated and detail-oriented
•              Positive, team-focused mindset with a “can-do” attitude
•              Ability to take ownership and deliver results
