• Plan and deliver engaging Psychology and Sociology lessons across relevant key stages
• Teach in line with examination specifications and curriculum requirements
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to support student attainment
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities
• Encourage discussion, critical thinking, and independent learning
• Work collaboratively with the Social Sciences department and wider staff team
• Contribute to curriculum development and shared resources
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
• Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal Social Science Teacher:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Psychology and or Sociology at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the social sciences
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
• Organised, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
• Willingness to commit to a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
