SEND Teacher – Temp to perm, full-time from September 2026
This SEND Teacher role offers the opportunity to work in a specialist secondary setting supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where teaching is carefully adapted to support engagement, confidence, and progress. This role would suit a Maths Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and confident in delivering Maths in a way that is accessible, consistent, and supportive.Duties as SEND Teacher:

- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons adapted to meet a range of additional learning needs
- Teach core Maths skills in a structured and accessible way
- Differentiate lessons to support pupils with SEND Needs
- Create a calm, predictable, and supportive classroom environment
- Use positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies consistently
- Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to support individual outcomes
- Work closely with support staff and wider teams to deliver inclusive practice
- Support pupils’ confidence, resilience, and engagement with Maths
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level
- Background in SEND, PRU, alternative provision, or inclusive mainstream settings
- Ability to adapt Maths teaching for pupils with additional needs
- Calm, resilient, and flexible teaching approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
