Mechanical Fitter 

Long term contract till December 2027

Monday to Fridays Days 7.30am to 3.30pm (40 hour week)

We’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Fitter with real hands-on skill. If you’ve got experience in vehicle/Bogie/Rail overhauls, stripping and rebuilding.

• Full mechanical Fitting experience
• Experience in large fitting environments, coach/vehicle builds
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
• Using hand and power tools for cutting, folding, and fitting
• Quality checking builds for alignment and accuracy
• Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe workspace

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a fast-paced or technical environment
• Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Confident with a wide range of hand and power tools
• Problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail
• Experience in vehicle fitting
• Background in Aviation, Military, Marine, or similar sectors is an advantage
• Ability to read basic electrical schematics is a bonus

Mechanical Fitter Pay

• Long term contract
• PAYE £20.05ph
• Umbrella £27.34
