The GSH Group are looking for FMCG field engineer who is highly motivated to join our expanding engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing of customers machinery, along with repairing faulty equipment, solving problems efficiently, along with being a great team player and strong communicator.

This position requires candidates who are qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in engineering, along with being familiar with the technical aspects of automated weighing, packaging and food processing machines used in business premises throughout the whole of the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct communicate with customers to determine needs and explain complex issues
• Conduct site research.
• Diagnoses of machinery issues and faults.
• Resolve challenges under pressure
• Install and integrate machinery/lines on customer’s site
• Inspect and test machinery for safety
• Carry out maintenance on machinery/equipment
• Service machinery/equipment
• Submit reports
• Order parts

Requirements

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or food machinery, preferable.
• Clear understanding of safety guidelines
• Experienced with general technical aspects of customers machinery/equipment
• Strong communication skills
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to work in fast paced environments.

Successful candidate will be expected to travel throughout the UK, along with spending time in Europe for further training on a yearly basis.

We are looking to pay a competitive salary of £43,000 per year for the ideal candidate, along with 20 days annual leave Bank Holidays.
