A lovely primary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2026 on a part-time basis.

The Role

In this Reception Teacher role you will teach class of 26 pupils two days each week. As part of a job-share arrangement with a SCITT trainee teacher, strong communication and collaboration will be essential. You will have weekly PPA included within your working days to collaborate with the reception teaching team on planning, assessment, and enrichment activities.

You will work closely with the wider EYFS team to ensure children settle confidently into school life and make a strong start to their learning.

This is a 2-day-per-week role, with working days likely to be Wednesday and Thursday. There may also be an opportunity for an additional third day for a teacher interested in leading Forest School provision.

The school is looking for a qualified teacher who has successfully completed induction and has strong teaching experience within Reception or EYFS. You should have a secure understanding of phonics and early maths, excellent classroom practice, and a creative, nurturing approach that supports children of all abilities to thrive.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed Early Years teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

The School

This primary school is built on a strong ethos of inclusivity, high aspiration and community engagement. At its core, the school promotes three key values: respect, ambition and honesty, which underpin all aspects of school life. These values guide pupils to develop positive relationships, take pride in their achievements and act with integrity.

The school fosters a welcoming and diverse environment where every child is known, valued and supported. Reflecting the rich cultural mix of the local community, it emphasises equality, celebrates individuality and actively promotes anti-racist and inclusive practices. It aims to ensure that all pupils feel safe, happy and confident, enabling them to thrive both academically and socially.

A strong focus is placed on high expectations and a commitment to excellence, with staff encouraging children to think big and achieve their full potential. Through a stimulating and supportive learning environment, pupils are nurtured to become independent learners, creative thinkers and responsible citizens.

Partnership is central to the school’s ethos. It works closely with families, staff and the wider community to enrich learning and create a shared sense of purpose. Ultimately, the school seeks to develop well-rounded individuals who are prepared to contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.
