Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Year 3, Temp to perm, full time, starting September 2026

HLTA Duties:

 

• Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom
• Delivering planned interventions and small-group activities
• Covering lessons in the teacher's absence
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff

Ideal HLTA:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Confidence delivering lessons and leading groups of pupils
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development
