We are seeking an organised and commercially minded Project Engineering Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple engineering projects from design approval through to installation and commissioning.

As Project Engineering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. Working closely with customers, design teams, fabrication partners, and installation teams, you will coordinate project activities and drive projects through each stage of the process.

The successful candidate will have strong project management experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Engineering Project Manager will manage engineering projects from initial order through to final installation and commissioning.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with agreed specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate activities between internal design teams, fabrication partners, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Issue drawings and project documentation to customers for review and approval.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, risks, and progress, taking corrective action where required.
  • Provide regular project updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining and developing quality standards, accreditations, and best practice systems where appropriate.
  • Ensure successful handover of projects through testing, installation, and commissioning stages.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in a Project Manager, Engineering Manager or similar project delivery role.
  • Strong experience managing project budgets, timelines, and customer expectations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Desirable

  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical environments
  • Knowledge of design approval processes and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting quality systems, accreditations, or ISO standards.
  • Confident managing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
