Food Technician – Temporary and ongoing, full-time starting September 2026

Duties as a Food Technician:

As a Food Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Food Technology department and ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons
• Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces
• Supporting teachers during practical sessions
• Ensuring teaching areas are organised and ready for use

Ideal Food Technician:

• Previous experience working within a food, catering, hospitality, or school environment
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for supporting young people's learning
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
