Electrician apprentice 

Commercial - Solar and renewables 
Cornwall - Operational 

A permanent position with a salary of £28,000 - £35,000 DOE plus van, fuel card and bonuses.

A great opportunity to start a permanent operational role as apprentice electrician for a rapidly growing southwest based renewables contractor. Primarily working within the solar team where you will be trained in the installation of the systems through to wiring, electrics and commissioning. 
You will be supported in obtaining NVQ's, 18th edition and other qualification towards becoming a qualified electrician.
If you already have qualifications or experience your annual salary can be negotiated so you can still apply.

Day to day:

  • Installing and commissioning electrical systems.
  • Running cables
  • Working with inverters.
  • Installing brackets and roofing.
  • Working within a team alongside mentors.
  • Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment. 
  • To bring any risks to the attention of management.
  • Operating tools and equipment.
  • To take responsibility of tools and equipment issued by the company.

Requirements: 

  • A driving license is essential to this role.
  • CSCS card.
  • Travelling and flexibility in working away.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 (Not essential)
  • 18th Edition (Not essential)
  • JIB/ECS/CSCS card (Not essential)
  • 2391 test and inspection (Not essential)
  • AM2 (Not essential)
  • Experience as an electrician or solar installer (Not essential)
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Good communication.
  • To maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
