Are you an experienced CNC Setter Operator looking to develop specialist skills within a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment?
We are seeking a talented CNC Setter Operator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer who can read engineering drawings, work to tight tolerances and use precision measuring equipment confidently, while receiving training and development in centreless grinding.

The RoleAs a CNC Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, producing high-quality components and maintaining the highest levels of quality and precision. You will also be trained in specialist centreless grinding techniques as part of your ongoing development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC and manual machine tools.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards.
- Using micrometers and precision measuring equipment.
- Conducting first-off and in-process inspections.
- Producing precision-engineered aerospace components.
- Supporting continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
We are looking for a CNC Setter Operator with a strong engineering background and a passion for precision manufacturing.
Essential Skills- Experience as a CNC Setter Operator, CNC Machinist, CNC Turner or CNC Miller.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Confident use of micrometers and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Grinding experience.
- Experience working with:
- Aluminium
- Stainless Steel
- Inconel
- Experience with manual machine tools.
- Specialist training in Centreless Grinding.
