I’m delighted to be supporting a successful print manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Sales Director to join their senior leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected organisation that has built a strong reputation for quality, service and long-term customer partnerships. The business benefits from an experienced and loyal workforce, with many employees having built long careers within the company. It is a collaborative environment where people genuinely support one another, take pride in their work and consistently deliver for their customers.

Leading the business is a down-to-earth and approachable Managing Director who believes in empowering his team, giving people the autonomy to succeed without unnecessary micromanagement.

As part of their continued growth plans, they are looking to appoint a commercially focused Sales Director who can drive the strategic direction of the sales function, develop key customer relationships and help shape the future growth of the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the company's commercial strategy, sales performance and growth agenda.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced sales leader from within the print manufacturing industry who has operated in a strategic commercial position and understands how to develop sustainable growth through a combination of customer retention, account development and targeted new business activity.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping to identify opportunities for growth, strengthen market position and ensure the sales function continues to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's sales and commercial strategy
  • Lead, mentor and develop the sales team
  • Drive revenue growth across existing and prospective customers
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key strategic accounts
  • Identify new market opportunities and routes to market
  • Support major client presentations, tenders and commercial negotiations
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure exceptional customer delivery
  • Analyse market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, reporting and pipeline management
  • Play a key role within the senior leadership team, contributing to wider business strategy and growth initiatives

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • A proven track record in a Sales Director, Head of Sales, Commercial Director or similar senior leadership role, within the print manufacturing industry
  • A strategic sales background with responsibility for driving commercial growth
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing successful sales teams
  • Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
  • The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • A consultative and relationship-led approach to sales
  • The credibility and presence to represent the business at a senior level

Location

Applicants should be based within the North West or Yorkshire region and be comfortable travelling as required to support customers, prospects and the wider business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior commercial leader from the print manufacturing sector who is looking to join a business with a strong reputation, an excellent culture and a leadership team that values trust, collaboration and long-term success.
