1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 11 Student (ADHD & Autism)

This is a well-established education and training provider that was judged Good by Ofsted. Duties as a 121 Teaching Assistant:
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support in lessons and across the setting
  • Supporting concentration, organisation, and engagement in learning
  • Implementing strategies to meet the student's individual needs
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and anxiety management
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience
  • Supporting progress towards GCSE and academic targets
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff, and parents where appropriate
  • Building a positive, trusting, and professional relationship with the student
Ideal 121 Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience supporting young people with ADHD and Autism
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Patient, calm, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships and motivate learners
  • Understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
