Assistant SENDCO – Temp-to-Perm, full time , stsarting September 2026

Duties as Assistant SENDCO:

 

  • Supporting the SENDCO with the day-to-day management of SEND provision
  • Assisting with EHCP reviews, documentation, and annual review processes
  • Monitoring the progress of students with SEND
  • Liaising with teaching staff, parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Supporting the implementation of interventions and targeted support programmes
  • Maintaining accurate SEND records and pupil data
  • Helping to promote inclusive teaching and learning practices across the school
Ideal Assistant SENDCO:
  • Previous experience working within SEND provision in a school setting
  • Good understanding of EHCPs, SEND Code of Practice, and inclusive education
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
