A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Newham is seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, providing invaluable classroom experience while supporting pupils across the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

The RoleAs a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and the school's SEND team, supporting children with a range of learning needs and helping them to achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
You will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and work with pupils both individually and in small groups, gaining hands-on experience that is highly relevant for graduates pursuing careers within psychology, education, and child development.
Responsibilities- Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
- Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils who require additional learning or emotional support.
- Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other Special Educational Needs (SEND).
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
