Independent Living Advisor
3 month assignment (likely to be extended) to provide intensive housing management support to sheltered housing residents.
Frome, Somerset 
£13 - £15 per hour 

Please note: you must be able to drive for this role

Key Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and deliver warm, friendly service
• Assist prospective and new customers
• Ensure residents understand rights and responsibilities
• Site inspections, risk assessments, communal areas, lifts
• Contractor monitoring – grounds, cleaning, laundry services
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery
• Manage disputes, complete referrals for aids/adaptations, respond to emergencies

 

Essential Experience

• Experience working with older people
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to individual needs
• Admin and numeracy skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge
• Commitment to Equality & Diversity

Desirable

• Knowledge of Housing Benefit
• Experience supporting residents through bereavement or loss
