Head of Business Studies – Long-term temporary and ongoing, full-time, starting September 2026

Here is a well-established 3-16 all-through academy in Leyton, part of Partnership Learning. The school was judged Good by Ofsted, with inspectors recognising strengths in Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and Early Years Provision.

Duties as Head of Business Studies:

 

  • Leading and managing the Business Studies department
  • Delivering outstanding Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 where applicable
  • Driving student attainment and progress
  • Developing curriculum content and assessment practices
  • Monitoring teaching quality and supporting departmental staff
  • Using data effectively to raise standards and improve outcomes
  • Contributing to the wider leadership and development of the school
Ideal Head of Business Studies:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
  • Leadership or departmental responsibility experience is desirable
  • Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
  • Proven ability to raise attainment and inspire learners
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
