We're recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business supplying highly engineered products into a range of advanced technology sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company experiencing continued growth, where you'll play a key role in supporting production operations, introducing new products and improving manufacturing processes.
The role:
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee manufacturing and test processes, ensuring procedures and specifications remain up to date
- Provide technical support to production teams and resolve manufacturing issues
- Ensure tooling, build aids and test equipment are available and fit for purpose
- Support new product introduction activities and manufacturing readiness
- Raise and implement engineering change documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment
- Investigate root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions
- Deliver training on new products, equipment and processes
- Provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing and Engineering departments
- Support preventative maintenance and TPM activities
- Work closely with Quality teams to maintain product standards and improve yield
- Support operational objectives relating to delivery, quality and productivity
About you:
To be successful in this Production Engineer role, you’ll need:
- Previous experience within a Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and test equipment
- Experience supporting production teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel and MRP systems
- Experience using CAD software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering would be advantageous
- A proactive and continuous improvement mindset
