- Supporting modifications and enhancements to existing machinery.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical control systems and automation machinery, with experience delivering machine-based projects.
You will ideally have:
- Experience designing electrical and safety systems for automated machinery.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of machine safety standards, electrical regulations and CE marking requirements.
- Experience carrying out machine risk assessments; knowledge of SISTEMA would be advantageous.
- Essential experience using ePlan electrical design software.
- PLC programming or software design experience with platforms such as Siemens, Omron, B&R or Rockwell would be advantageous.
- Experience integrating robotic systems including SCARA, Delta or 6-axis robots would be beneficial.
- A proven track record of delivering machine control projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within control systems engineering, ideally within an automation machinery environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with strong technical understanding.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- A flexible approach with willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
