Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CMM Programmer to join our Metrology team in Abingdon.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development and inspection of complex, high-performance components at the forefront of metal manufacturing technology.

Metrology is critical throughout the entire product lifecycle at Alloyed, from research and development through to final quality assurance. As a CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and optimising inspection programmes, driving process improvements, and ensuring the highest levels of measurement accuracy and quality.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams, you will report directly to the Metrology Manager and contribute to both product development and production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and operate CMM inspection programmes using:
    • Hexagon CMMs / PC-DMIS
    • Renishaw Agility / MODUS
  • Create efficient and accurate CMM inspection routines for complex components
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within CMM programming and metrology processes
  • Collaborate with project teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Review engineering drawings and provide feedback regarding measurability, tolerancing, and potential design improvements
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and traceability documentation
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS and/or MODUS
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Experience working within a high-precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent understanding of engineering and metrology principles
