Electrical Services Manager – 160,000–180,000 Full Use of VehicleCompany

A leading New Zealand engineering business is looking for an experienced Electrical Services Manager to lead and grow its Auckland electrical operations. You will take ownership of commercial performance, project delivery, people leadership and client development across a varied portfolio of industrial electrical projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the electrical services division, including trades staff, supervisors, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Manage electrical projects from tender and pricing through to delivery, commissioning and final handover.
  • Monitor revenue, margins, labour, materials, cash flow and project forecasts to ensure strong commercial outcomes.
  • Build relationships with existing clients while identifying new sales and business development opportunities.
  • Drive a high-performance culture across health and safety, quality, operational efficiency and staff development.

The position carries responsibility for an electrical operation targeting approximately 600,000 in monthly revenue at a 15% margin.

Experience

You will need:

  • Significant experience within industrial electrical services, contracting or project delivery.
  • Previous experience operating at Electrical Services Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager or senior project leadership level.
  • A recognised electrical trade qualification and current New Zealand electrical registration.
  • Strong commercial experience across estimating, tendering, budgeting, forecasting and margin management.
  • Proven experience leading electricians, supervisors, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installation, maintenance, commissioning and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships and generating new business.
  • A practical understanding of health and safety requirements within industrial or high-risk environments.

Experience managing financial performance, tenders, cash flow, client relationships and team development will be central to the position.

Salary

An excellent package is available:

160,000–180,000 per annum full use of a motor vehicle

The final package will depend on your experience, technical background and commercial leadership capability.

Location

The role is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

You will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, engineers, supervisors and electrical trades staff. Some travel to client and project sites may be required.
