A welcoming primary school in Greenwich is looking to recruit a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator to join their Reception team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and nurturing practitioner who is passionate about supporting children’s early development, particularly those with additional needs.

The Role
You will be based within one of the school’s Reception classes, working closely with the class teacher and wider support team to provide a supportive, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all pupils.
The role will have a particular focus on supporting children with SEND, helping them to develop their communication, social, emotional and learning skills through carefully planned activities and targeted support. You will work with individual pupils and small groups, adapting learning opportunities to meet their needs and helping every child to make progress.
As part of a two-form entry school, you will be joining a collaborative year group team, supporting planning, observations and assessments, while contributing to a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
The school are looking for an Early Years Educator who has a strong understanding of play-based learning, early childhood development and inclusive practice. Knowledge of Read, Write, Inc would be beneficial, alongside an energetic, patient and enthusiastic approach.

The school moved to a brand-new site three years ago and offers excellent facilities, resources and learning spaces, including a well-equipped Early Years department. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and supporting children to achieve their potential, with a dedicated team who work closely together to provide high-quality support for pupils with a range of needs.
Located close to mainline rail stations and local bus links, the school is easily accessible and also offers parking on site. As a two-form entry school, staff work collaboratively across year groups, sharing ideas and supporting one another with planning, assessment and pupil development. The school is highly valued within the local community and places strong emphasis on working closely with families.

To apply for this role, you must:

  • Hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Have experience working within an EYFS setting
  • Have a good understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
  • Have knowledge of play-based learning and child development
  • Be confident supporting children’s individual learning and developmental needs
  • Be available to start in September 2026 on a full-time basis
