Job Description:
We're looking for an Electrical Systems & Commissioning Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering bespoke industrial machinery.
This is a varied, hands-on position, with approximately 60% of your time spent at the manufacturing site supporting machine build, testing and validation, and 40% spent travelling to customer sites for installation, commissioning and technical support.
The role offers regular UK and international travel, with projects typically taking you to customer sites across India, China, the USA and Europe.
What You'll Do as an Electrical Systems & Commissioning Engineer- Support the electrical build of bespoke machinery
- Test, validate and fault-find complete systems
- Install and commission equipment at customer sites
- Carry out Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT)
- Diagnose electrical and control system faults
- Provide planned maintenance, upgrades and technical support
- Produce commissioning reports and technical documentation
- Work with engineering teams to improve products and processes
- HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
- Experience commissioning, servicing or supporting industrial machinery or bespoke OEM equipment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled industrial systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Practical experience installing and commissioning industrial equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel regularly within the UK and internationally
- Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Knowledge of Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus
- AutoCAD or EPLAN experience
- Machinery safety and compliance knowledge

This is an opportunity to work on bespoke engineering projects from factory build through to customer commissioning.
You'll spend around 60% of your time on-site working alongside the engineering team and 40% travelling to customer locations across the UK and overseas. We're particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable with international travel, including trips to India, China and the USA, where you'll play a key role in delivering successful installations and building strong customer relationships.
