We are urgently seeking an experienced Data Manager to join a Popular secondary school in the London borough of Westminster to support the Head of Departments and SLT with data analysis.

The role

As the school’s Data Manager, you will play a key role in the school’s leadership and Management of the whole schools’ systems for performance analysis and school improvement.

The role will include:

  • Providing access for staff (including ITT), to various online packages (Bromcom, Go4Schools, FFT Aspire, SMHW, Parentmail, ALPS Connect, others as necessary)
  • Lead role for CPD in ICT packages (Bromcom, Go4Schools, FFT Aspire, SMHW, Parentmail, ALPS Connect, others as necessary) for teaching staff.
  • Advise and lead SLT and Middle leaders on the use of data to improve subject and cohort performance.
  • Act as the key organisational leader of Bromcom and Go4Schools.
  • Work with the Deputy Heads on producing the whole School Calendar and Assessment, Recording and Reporting schedule.
  • Assisting with the options processes (GCSE and A-Level)
  • Co-scheduling whole school timetable on Bromcom.
  • Day - to - day management of school timetable.
  • Academic management (students & class memberships) - Bromcom
  • Manage Go4 Schools, ensuring it is fit for purpose to capture all required data sets. (Attainment (on entry and ongoing), attitude, progress, learning behaviours)
  • Producing individual aspirational student targets using national data.
  • Oversee data collection processes, checking for completion, advising key leaders of incompletion, reviewing processes regularly.
  • Administer processes for reporting key information to meet statutory requirements to parents via Bromcom.
  • Overseeing the creation of internal progress / behaviour reports and creating relevant analysis for learning community / subject staff to use to inform appropriate intervention.
  • Providing ISDR information to SLT members and responding to arising issues.
  • Ensuring key leaders can analyse external attainment and progress data (L2 / L3 qualifications), producing Subject Impact Summaries in a timely and appropriate way, creating relevant analysis from ASP / FFT / ALPS.
  • Undertake analysis of end of year and in year outcome data to inform intervention activities at whole school, faculty, subject and learning community levels to support monitoring of student progress and targeting intervention strategies.
  • Liaising with external assessment agencies. (e.g., DfE data checking, ALPS, CAT, FFT, Bromcom)
  • Completing necessary returns for LA and other statutory requirements.
  • Completion of PLASC, CES annual census, Pupil Data Level Collection, Termly Census.
  • Course management and school census, especially Sixth Form course memberships & exam results for YPLA funding purposes.
  • Coordination of attendance data using the current package of software for recording attendance.
  • Produce scheduled and on-demand reports as required for SLT, Heads of Learning Community and mentors regarding attendance and lateness

Plus, any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Headteacher to reflect the changing needs and circumstances as the school develops and grows.

This role is available with a September start and is full-time role initially on a temporary basis but with the possibility of being made permanent for the right candidate.

Staff at the school have high expectations for students and pupil behaviour is good.
