Lighting Technician

Location - Bracknell
Salary - £35,000 per annum
Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 5:00pm
Job Type - Permanent

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Lighting Technician to join an organisation within the live events and technical production sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with a passion for technical equipment and a keen eye for detail. Working as part of a supportive operations team, you'll play a key role in ensuring specialist equipment is prepared, maintained, tested, and ready to meet the highest standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out testing, inspection, and preparation of specialist lighting and technical equipment. 
• Diagnose and identify equipment issues, escalating more complex faults when required. 
• Maintain accurate records relating to equipment status, inventory, and maintenance activities. 
• Support the smooth movement and dispatch of equipment while ensuring quality standards are met.

Essential

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work. 
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a warehouse-based environment. 
• Ability to manage workloads and priorities within a fast-paced setting. 

Desirable

• Previous experience within lighting, events, production, AV, or technical equipment environments. 
• Technical understanding of lighting systems or related equipment. 
• PAT Testing qualification or basic electrical knowledge. 
• Forklift, pump truck, or warehouse equipment experience.
