A leading international interior design consultancy with studios across 3 continents is looking to appoint an experienced Design Director (minimum 15 years experience) to lead the delivery of world-class luxury hospitality projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly creative and commercially aware design leader with a proven background in luxury 5-star hotel interiors. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping design direction, managing high-performing teams, and overseeing prestigious projects from concept through to completion.

The Role

As Design Director, you will lead and inspire a talented team of designers and architects, driving exceptional creative standards across a portfolio of high-end hospitality projects globally.

You will work closely with clients, operators, consultants, and senior leadership to deliver innovative and internationally recognised hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creative direction and overall design vision for luxury hospitality projects
• Manage and mentor interior design teams across multiple projects
• Oversee projects from concept design through to delivery and site completion
• Present design concepts and strategies to clients and stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
• Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, operators, and contractors
• Drive innovation, material selection, and FF&E direction across projects
• Maintain exceptional design standards throughout all project stages
• Support business development activities and contribute to client relationship management
• Play a key role in growing and strengthening the hospitality design division

Requirements

• Extensive experience within luxury hospitality interior design
• Strong portfolio of completed 5-star hotel projects
• Previous experience in a Design Director, Associate Director, or Senior Design Lead position
• Exceptional leadership and client-facing abilities
• Strong knowledge of concept development, space planning, FF&E, and project delivery
• Experience working on international hospitality projects is highly advantageous
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
