An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Administrator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Aston on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.

This Supply Chain Administrator position is ideal for an organised and proactive individual who can confidently take ownership of day-to-day administration activities within a busy Supply Chain team. We're looking for a Supply Chain Administrator who enjoys working with systems, maintaining accurate records and supporting Buyers with critical administrative tasks.

Offering flexibility around working hours, this Supply Chain Administrator role could be particularly well suited to candidates seeking school-friendly working arrangements whilst still making a meaningful contribution to the business.

The Role

As a Supply Chain Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting purchasing and planning activities by ensuring all supply chain information is accurate, up to date and readily available to internal stakeholders.

Working closely with Buyers and the wider Supply Chain team, you will take ownership of ERP system updates, purchase order administration and lead time management to help support production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raising and processing purchase orders
  • Updating and maintaining ERP system records
  • Managing and updating order books
  • Recording supplier delivery information and lead times
  • Updating buyer notes and tracking order progress
  • Monitoring overdue orders and delivery schedules
  • Maintaining accurate procurement and supply chain records
  • Supporting Buyers with day-to-day administration tasks
  • Attending planning and supply chain meetings and providing updates when required
  • Updating production and delivery schedules
  • Managing data entry activities with a high degree of accuracy
  • Supporting reporting activities and departmental administration
What We're Looking For
  • Previous administration experience
  • Experience as a Supply Chain Administrator, Purchasing Administrator, Procurement Administrator, Operations Administrator or similar role would be advantageous
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong data entry and system administration skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems would be beneficial, although training can be provided
