Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a growing and successful business delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take ownership of project performance, providing strategic commercial leadership while working closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maximise value and ensure successful project delivery.
The RoleAs Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract compliance, risk management, and financial performance. You will play a key role in driving commercial strategy and supporting the wider business in achieving its objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing commercial leadership and ownership across projects
- Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Leading the preparation and submission of valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Managing variations, change control, and contract negotiations
- Overseeing subcontract procurement, agreements, and payments
- Supporting project teams with commercial guidance and decision-making
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial team members
We are looking for a confident and commercially focused individual with a strong background in construction, infrastructure, or related sectors.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor position
- Strong knowledge of commercial management principles and contract administration
- Experience managing projects from inception through to completion
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience managing subcontractor relationships and commercial agreements
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with project teams
- Salary up to £85,000
