General Science Teacher - Long-term, temporary and ongoing, full-time, starting September 2026

Here is a large and popular mixed secondary school with sixth form, serving over 1,400 students and forming part of The Wensum Trust. The school is committed to providing an ambitious curriculum and ensuring pupils are well supported both academically and personally.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:
  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Deliver A-Level Chemistry to sixth form students
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider Science curriculum and departmental development
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation
Ideal General Science Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
  • Ability to teach Chemistry at A-Level is essential
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Experience supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
