Food Technology Teacher - Long-term, temporary and ongoing, part-time starting September 2026

Here is a large and well-established secondary academy serving students aged 11–19 and is part of the Inspiration Trust. The school provides a broad and ambitious curriculum designed to support academic achievement and personal development for all learners.

Duties as Food Technology Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills and nutritional knowledge
  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment within practical classrooms
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and participation
  • Support curriculum development within the department
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community
Ideal Food Technology Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and health and safety requirements
  • Ability to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
