Sales Director – (Large Format, Signage & Exhibition Print)
Office Based, Hampshire
Up to £60,000 basic bonus & profit-related incentive
Our client is a successful and growing business specialising in large format and digital print, exhibitions, signage, branded merchandise and apparel.
Following sustained year-on-year growth, our client is now seeking its first dedicated Sales Director to lead the sales function and help shape the next stage of the business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership position offering genuine influence over sales strategy, business development, team performance and wider commercial direction.
The role will suit an ambitious, commercially driven sales leader who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial SME environment and is comfortable combining strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to winning business.
You will be an inspiring, commercially astute and results-driven leader who is comfortable taking ownership, driving change and building strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a clear sales strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Lead, motivate and develop the sales team, creating a high-performance culture.
- Establish clear KPIs, targets, forecasting and pipeline management processes.
- Drive new business development and personally support key strategic opportunities.
- Develop and grow relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Identify new markets, sectors and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Increase market share across print, exhibitions, signage, branded merchandise and apparel.
- Develop strategies to maximise existing account growth and customer retention.
- Create and oversee the sales and marketing strategy, ensuring effective lead generation.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team on wider commercial strategy.
- Provide regular reporting and insight on sales performance, pipeline and growth opportunities.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Sales leadership experience within print, large format, signage, exhibitions, visual communications, branded merchandise, apparel or a related sector.
- Proven experience managing, coaching and developing sales teams.
- A strong track record in business development and delivering sales growth.
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer relationship skills.
- Experience working within an SME or entrepreneurial environment.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
