Job Description:
We're looking for Estimators at an Assistant, Intermediate or a Senior level to join a growing team delivering major planned works, refurbishment and property investment programmes across the social housing sector.
Whether you're an Assistant Estimator ready to step up or an experienced Senior Estimator looking for a new challenge, there's scope to find the right level for you.
What will you be doing?You'll be involved in pricing and tendering a range of social housing and planned works projects, working closely with commercial, operational and bid teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing estimates and competitive tender submissions.
Pricing planned maintenance, refurbishment and property investment works.
Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and Bills of Quantities.
Carrying out measurements and take-offs.
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Working with NHF Schedule of Rates / SOR.
Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
Supporting tender adjudications, negotiations and successful project handovers.
Projects can include planned maintenance, refurbishment, voids, kitchens and bathrooms, roofing, external works, retrofit, decarbonisation and wider asset investment programmes.
Who are we looking for?We're open to people at different stages of their estimating career, but social housing experience is essential.
You could be:
An Assistant Estimator ready to take the next step.
An Estimator looking for a larger or more varied workload.
A Senior Estimator who can take ownership of complex tenders.
Experience with estimating software, Excel, BOQs, take-offs and subcontractor procurement is essential.
