Film & Media Studies Teacher- Part time, starting September 2026

Here is a well-established 11–18 mixed secondary school with sixth form located in Fakenham and part of the Sapientia Education Trust. The school provides a broad and ambitious curriculum, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while developing confidence and independence.

In its most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged Good, reflecting strengths across teaching, learning, leadership, personal development, and sixth form provision.

Duties as Film and Media Studies Teacher:
  • Teach Media Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5
  • Deliver engaging lessons to Years 11, 12 and 13
  • Teach Film Studies where required
  • Provide some English teaching within the timetable if needed
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Support students in achieving strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes
  • Foster creativity, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community
Ideal Film and Media Studies Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Media Studies
  • Ability to teach A-Level Media Studies
  • Experience or ability to teach Film Studies
  • Ability to teach some English is desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for creative subjects and student achievement
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
