KS2 Teacher – Special School

Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity Immediate Start Available

Here is a well-established community special school in Tottenham, catering for pupils aged 2–16 with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, moderate and severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Duties as KS2 Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of SEND requirements
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Ideal KS2 Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Experience working with SEND pupils is desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Patient, creative, and adaptable approach to learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
