We’re currently recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing procurement team based in Woking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, procurement administration, buying or supply chain coordination who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to take ownership of a broad range of purchasing activities.
You’ll work closely with Buyers and teams across the business, helping to ensure suppliers, purchase orders, deliveries and purchasing data are accurately managed and kept on track.
The Purchasing Coordinator RoleAs Purchasing Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day purchasing function, including:
- Raising, processing and maintaining purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Supporting Buyers with order placement, supplier follow-up and order acknowledgements.
- Ensuring pricing, quantities, delivery dates and supplier information are accurate.
- Maintaining supplier records and ensuring documentation is complete and up to date.
- Supporting supplier onboarding and compliance activities.
- Managing supplier agreements, contracts and commercial documentation.
- Maintaining the central contracts register, including version control and renewal dates.
- Communicating with suppliers regarding outstanding information, documentation and deliveries.
- Supporting the resolution of purchase order, delivery and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data within the ERP system.
- Supporting data cleansing across supplier, pricing, part master and purchasing records.
- Managing routine indirect purchasing requirements, including office supplies, PPE, consumables and facilities-related requirements.
- Obtaining quotations and supporting negotiations where required.
- Monitoring supplier performance, expenditure and delivery commitments.
- Producing purchasing trackers, reports and order status updates.
- Working collaboratively with Buyers, Stores, Goods In, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance and other internal teams.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, buying, supply chain or a similar coordination role.
- Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
- Good attention to detail, particularly when working with pricing, supplier and ERP data.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up outstanding actions.
- Good IT and Excel skills, with experience using an ERP or purchasing system.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently.
- A willingness to get involved across both purchasing administration and wider procurement activities.
- £30,000 – £35,000 salary
- Woking-based
- Fully on-site, Monday–Friday
