The Impact You'll MakeAs our Repairs Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a responsive, high-quality repairs service that residents can rely on. You’ll lead a skilled team, manage resources effectively, and ensure that every job—whether it’s a quick fix or a major repair—is completed to the highest standard, on time, and with the customer at the heart of the process. Your leadership will directly improve the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of hundreds of households.
What You'll Do- Lead and inspire a team of operatives, contractors, and coordinators to deliver an exceptional repairs service.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring repairs are completed within agreed KPIs and budgets.
- Monitor and improve service quality through regular inspections, feedback reviews, and performance analysis.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Implement and maintain robust health & safety standards across all repair activities.
- Use data and reporting tools to identify trends, prevent recurring issues, and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from first contact to job completion.
- Proven experience managing a repairs or maintenance service, ideally within housing or property management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
- Knowledge of building maintenance, repair techniques, and relevant legislation.
- Experience managing budgets and supplier contracts.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, colleagues, and contractors.
